• Een overzicht van meer dan 900 studies ingedeeld volgens wetenschappelijk aanpak en volgens de belangrijkste effecten vindt u hier (Engelstalig). Meer dan 66 procent van de studies vinden schadelijke effecten op de gezondheid. Vrijwel alle studies zijn verschenen in peer-reviewed wetenschappelijke vakbladen.
  
  
  
• Ecolog-rapport: in 2000 heeft het Duitse Ecolog Instituut, een onafhankelijk onderzoeksinstituut, een studie uitgevoerd in opdracht van de telecomoperator T-Mobile. Het betrof een literatuuronderzoek naar de gezondheidseffecten van o.a. hoogfrequente gepulste elektromagnetische straling. De bevindingen waren o.a. dat straling kankerbevorderend is, schadelijk voor het immuunsysteem en dat het de hersen- zenuwwerking beïnvloedt. Omwille van het feit dat zoveel negatieve effecten gevonden werden, heeft T-Mobile geprobeerd het rapport in de doofpot te stoppen (zie de volgende artikels 1 -2). • REFLEX (2004): In opdracht van de Europese Unie werd een grootschalige studie uitgevoerd aan verschillende Europese universiteiten waarin men gaan kijken is naar niet-thermische effecten van elektromagnetische straling. Uit het onderzoek bleek dat significante schade wordt aangericht in menselijke cellen en dan vooral aan het DNA (enkele en dubbele DNA-breuken).   "Summary:
  Twelve institutes in seven countries have found genotoxic effects and modified expressions on numerous genes and proteins after Radio frequency and extremely low frequency EMF exposure at low levels, below current international safety guidance, to living cells in-vitro. These results confirm the likelihood of long-term genetic damage in the blood and brains of users of mobile phones and other sources of electromagnetic fields. The idea behind the REFLEX study was to attempt replicate damage already reported to see if the effects were real and whether, or not, more money should be spent of research into the possible adverse health effects of EMF exposure. They concluded that in-vitro damage is real and that it is important to carry out much more research, especially monitoring the long-term health of people."

• BioInitiative-rapport (augustus 2007): de BioInitiative Working Group, internationale werkgroep van gerenommeerde wetenschappers, onderzoekers en specialisten in gezondheidsbeleid is naar buiten gekomen met een nieuw rapport over elektromagnetische velden en straling (EMF/EMR) en gezondheid. Het rapport is te lezen op www.bioinitiative.org
  
  Op YouTube staat een heel interessant interview met Cindy Sage, co-auteur van het BioInitiative-rapport, waarin ze meer uitleg geeft over het rapport, de belangrijkste resultaten toelicht en de beleidsimplicaties overloopt die hieraan verbonden zouden moeten worden.

  kinds of EMFs may cause serious health effects. Good public health planning
  is needed now to prevent cancers and neurological diseases linked to
  exposure to power lines and other sources of EMFs. We need to educate the

  the weight of evidence. The existing FCC and international limits for
  public and occupational exposure to EMFs and RF radiation are not

    Nederlandstalige samenvatting hier. Bevindingen: vanaf 1000 µW/m² (=0,6 V/m): 5 tot 8,5 x zoveel kans op kanker (voornamelijk borst- en hersenkanker) in vergelijking met mensen die blootgesteld worden aan maximaal 10 µW/m². Bij stralingsintensiteiten van 100 tot 1000 µW/m²: 3,4 x zoveel kans op kanker. Statistische significantie zeer hoog.

  "Another similar phenomenon was that radar operators could often hear pulsed microwaves, as sound. This has been known since radar was invented, although the earliest published claims of auditory perception only appeared in 1956. Officially, the military forces denied the possibility of that such sounds could exist and subject their radar operators to rather pointed questions about their mental health. So everyone shut up about it, and went back to warming their hands.

  In 1975 a two-man team of electrical engineers at the University of Washington, Dr. Bill Guy and C.K Chou, published a comprehensive research paper showing that the operators were right. Pulsed microwaves could easily be heard by some humans. They postulated that the absorbed energy in the head causes rapid thermal expansion at a microscopic level, which produced an acoustic stress wave conducted through the bone to the cochlear"
